Diamonds are the hardest materials on the planet and have been used in polishing and cutting equipment, but its use was limited due to its scarcity. However, use of diamonds was expanded when technology to produce synthetic diamonds was developed. Industrial diamonds are used as crucial materials in almost every industry including manufacturing, metals, automobiles, construction, civil engineering, mining, electronics, solar energy, and LED.

Saw grit diamonds are materials used in equipment for construction and mining such as building stone, structuring, and concrete equipment, fitted in saw blades, cutters, and drill bits. Wheel grit diamonds are used as materials in equipment for precision industries such as electronics, automobiles, airplanes, and semiconductors. Uses of wheel grit diamonds include machines for producing the cam shaft in automobiles, CMP equipment for producing semiconductor wafers, and dicing saws.

High pressure of over 5GPa is required to manufacture industrial diamonds. 5GPa is the amount of pressure of 50 tons of weight on an area 1cm wide and 1cm long, and this level of high pressure technology is one of the 5 most extreme technologies.

CBN, the second hardest material next to diamonds, is manufactured with a similar process to that of industrial synthetic diamonds. CBN is required in many industries including automobile and space aerodynamics since it can process steel products that diamonds are unable to process due to chemical reactions.

The precise control of hardness, purity, and the size of particles during the manufacturing process of industrial diamonds and CBN is a necessary capability required to produce high quality products. Industrial diamonds and CBN particles attached to the surface of various polishing and grinding wheels as well as saw wires to be used in the process of building stone, asphalt, lumber, aluminum, glass, and steel. Diamonds and CBN are attached to the surface of the equipment by electronic plating, brazing, or sintering.
